Health-I-What?

Greetings and salutations! This is my first time doing a blog so bear (or is it bare?) with me.

The Taylor household started on a journey to "healthified". I don't want to call it a diet because it's not going anywhere- as in we're not going to give it up in 2 months. I'd say it's more of a lifestyle change. So far it's been awesome. It all started because I wanted to loose some weight. I was exercising like crazy but wasn't losing anything.... See back in the olden days, I could work out and kinda watch what I ate and I'd lose weight. Apparently after 25, that's not the case. So I started searching the good ole world wide web for healthy recipes that were still good. I think that's the key- the food has to be good. You can't feel like you're "on a diet". I compiled all of my recipes into a binder and have been making them 4-5 nights a week. I have yet to make the same meal twice, and I've only made a couple that I probably wouldn't make again. The hubs actually rates each meal with gold star stickers...

Since cooking these healthified meals (and doing better during the day as far as lunch/snacks go), I've lost a good bit of weight. 

So that's the back story to this here blog. I plan to post the recipes as I try them- and give yall feedback and suggestions. I promise- these meals are soooo good and most of them are under 300 calories per serving (and believe it or not, the serving size is pretty good- filling too). Most nights there's enough for the hubs to take the leftovers to work for lunch.
